Our Chalets Have All You Need

Becker’s Chalets has many features and amenities to offer guests to help enhance their Rocky Mountain Experience. Breathtaking and relaxing scenery! Sit on one of our colorful lawn chairs provided, and allow the views to engulf you – with the Athabasca River flowing by, and many beautiful mountains in front, including Mt. Kerkestlin and Mt. Hardisty. Vast landscaped grounds, with organized trees, shrubs, flowers and lots of grass. Other hotel visitors that frequent our grounds are numerous wildlife including: black & grizzly bears, elk, coyotes, wolves, squirrels, martins, Geese, and deer.

What’s Included


  • Every chalet is equipped with a coffee maker with complimentary coffee, an electric kettle and complimentary tea, hot chocolate, sugar and coffee whitener. Also provided are: Conditioning shampoo, soap, body lotion, make-up remover wipes, hairdryer, and flat screen TV.
  • Upon arrival, your chalet will have clean linens and towels with the addition of daily housekeeping services
  • All chalets come with one free standard parking stall. For additional parking or for oversized parking, please contact the front desk for availability
  • Complimentary intermittent Wi-Fi – due to our remote location, the signal strength will vary
  • Our chalets do not have AC, however they are all equipped with a minimum of one standup fan. Additional fans are available on a first come first serve basis due to limited quantities
  • Chalets that have either kitchenettes or full kitchens come supplied with basic kitchen necessities suitable for the number of guests the chalet is intended for, including but not limited to: dishes, kitchen and eating utensils, bakeware, and cookware. None of our chalets have dishwashers in them unfortunately.
  • Chalets that do not have either a kitchenette or kitchen are not supplied with any of these items.
  • Daily mail service: every day we drop off outgoing mail to the local post off – your welcome to bring your outgoing mail (example, postcards) to the front desk for mail drop off
  • Ice Machines: for your convenience we have a bulk ice machine and a dispensed ice machine available on property
  • Power generators: being in the National Park, power failures can occur. For your convenience, we have two generators on property which will enable the entire property to have power within seconds after the power goes out. Please note, these generators are “OFF” and silent unless needed.
  • All of the water at Becker’s Chalets is very safe for drinking and is health inspected regularly for your safety.
  • For your convenience, from 10pm to 7am MST when the front desk is closed, we do have a hotel emergency phone located next to the front desk doors for immediate assistance from our team.


NOTICE

Unfortunately due to the wildfires of 2024, our coin operated laundry facilities are currently not available. For your convenience, there are 2 coin laundry facilities in downtown Jasper.

Policies


Non-Smoking

All of our chalets are non-smoking. Chalets with evidence of smoke (excluding the smoke from a wood fireplace) will be subject to a penalty fee. Smoking is permitted outside of the chalet, away from patios and/or balconies and a minimum of 10 feet away from the chalet.

No Pets

Although we know pets are very much apart of a family, we do have a no-pet policy unfortunately. Any chalet with evidence of an animal being present will be subject to immediate removal from property along with an additional cleaning fee. Service dogs are permitted provided they have a working vest on at all times and a copy of the animal’s service ID card is provided to front desk, in accordance to Alberta Government Legislation. Any animal without these qualifications will not be permitted.

Check-in

Standard check in time is any time after 4pm MST. You are welcome to request an earlier arrival of 2pm, however this is not guaranteed and must be requested a minimum of 24 hours prior to the arrival date.

Check-out

Standard check out time is any time before 11am MST. You are welcome to request a later departure to a maximum of 12pm (noon), however this is not guaranteed and subject to housekeeping approval. Failure to vacate your chalet by 11am MT (12pm noon for approved late departures) will result in an additional nightly fee being charged to the credit card.

BBQs

All rented or personal BBQ’s must be propane and situated on cement/asphalt and a minimum of 10 feet away from all chalets. (BBQs are not permitted on any patio/balcony). Coal and Bricket BBQs are not permitted on property.

Private Groups/Weddings

Small private groups (family reunions, birthday celebrations, weddings, etc.) are permitted during the off season from opening to June 15 and from Sept 15 to closing.

Zero tolerance for Harassment

We are committed to offering a pleasant and safe experience for our guests and staff alike. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

Cancellation policy

Due to the difficulty to re-book cancelled chalets last minute, we require a minimum of 7 days prior to the arrival date if you need to cancel with a full refund of the deposit on single reservation bookings. Please note, for reservations with 4+ chalets, a 14-day cancellation policy applies.

Minimum nightly stay

3-night minimum during all long weekends throughout the season
1-night stays are permitted at any point during our value season and subject to availability during the summer season

Discounts

Weekly discount rates of 10% off, when staying 7 or more nights consecutively
CAA/AAA discounts of 10% off is offered during the summer season only on our standard chalets with no kitchens and no fireplaces.

Rates and Taxes

All rates are quoted in Canadian dollars and are subject to change. They do not include the mandatory 5% GST tax and 4% Tourism Levy tax.

Maximum Chalet Capacities

Due to fire regulations, the maximum capacity for each chalet is non-negotiable. Failure to comply will result in a $250.00 penalty, with possible eviction, due to the severity.

Quiet Time

For the consideration of all guests, we have implemented a quiet time policy from 10pm to 7am MST. Infractions due to complaints will be handled by management.


Additional Amenities


Dining: Our Gourmet Restaurant offers a European buffet breakfast each morning from 8am to 11am MST along with fine dining beginning at 5:30pm with the last seating of 9pm MST (dinner reservations recommended). 

Grab and Go Food: located in the front office from 8am to 10pm daily; our grab and go fridge has a daily assortment of items for purchase. Fresh sandwiches, cold beverages, snacks, deserts, and other tasty treats – available as quantities last.

Coin Operated Laundry Facilities: Open daily from 8am to 10pm MST. In our laundry room we also have a coin operated detergent dispenser.

Gift Shop: located in the front office, open from 8am to 10pm daily you will find a large variety of items for purchase. These range from toiletries (such as toothbrush, hair comb, sanitary products), to games, to a large assortment of souvenirs (such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, post cards) to name a few.

Fire Wood for Purchases: Fire wood and Fire logs are available in the gift shop for purchase for those who have a wood burning fireplace in their chalet.

Drink and Snack Machines: Behind the front office building, you will find drink and snack machines with a variety of beverages, chips and chocolate for purchase.

Propane BBQs: Rental propane BBQs are available on a first come first serve basis for $5 plus tax per day. These can be reserved at any time, based on availability.

Hide-a-bed’s: For applicable chalets and when added prior to the arrival date, the hide-a-bed can be added to certain chalet types for an additional $10 plus tax nightly fee. Please note: only some chalets have this option as not all cabins have hide-a-beds and some chalets are already at maximum capacity (due to fire regulations).

Play pens: are available on a first come first serve basis, as we have a limited number of them available at no additional cost. Please reserve this prior to the arrival date.

Unsupervised playground: Near the center of our property, you will find our playground and large grassy field for the enjoyment of our guests. Parent supervision is required for our younger guests.

Mini book Library: Located at the front office you will find our mini log cabin “Have a book, leave a book – need a book, take a book” library. These are complimentary to our guests, from our guests!

White Water Rafting: For your convenience, our front desk team is happy to book your White Water Rafting Adventures.
